Trick or treat: consider guests of equal standing

simply sides of a coin: tarnished or sterling

bereft of ballast, waves unsettle - cruel landing 

loss of compass, thread rapidly unfurling.

Ghoul or gold, relish or rue: countenance parity

treachery so often bedfellow with treasure

poise across all seas; guarantee of clarity

exhibit dignity, emanate calm: true measure. 

At circuitous fortune - smile always trumps scowl

but wasted endeavour to crave baron spotlight

embrace passion: under full moon deliriously howl 

remember: nothing good happens after midnight.
