Chain

Variation limited to nuance; ostensibly equivalent 

Days like a paper chain - perhaps just as disposable

Curiosity primal mandate, else become ambivalent 

But why fear disruption - surely carriages reposable?

More than glancing over yonder poses existential danger

Safety of mundane shuffle gifts semblance of control

Horizon’s gains may outweigh that which they endanger

And should they not, perhaps exploration will console 

Unknowns of system perturbation both terrifies and titillates 

Without chapter addition, this story is desolately complete

Chaos unleashed mine alone; not served seeking emulates 

Yet unblemished paper remains, and pages far from replete.
