Thought

To surmise fleetingly, ever only in passing

like an apparition caught in furtive glance

that shared insight is asymptotic - unassailable

at best, an echo of reality, held for a moment

Still, we courageously and optimistically seek to parlay

one’s conscious into another - desperately hoping to

share meaning, be understood - made whole; pure light

peeled bare in a prism, uniquely perfect rainbow revealed.
