Transition

Body vacated - alert but motionless in care

light transition across field transfixes stare

brilliant orb rises: commands centre stage

feelings loom large; emphasis my cage.

Unremarkable location - hypnotic vision 

soul awoken to this agitating juxtaposition 

bewitched by orange glow, life now surreal

long dormant desires, compelled to feel.

Calm contentment gives way to passion

rumination of new life to craft and fashion

as bounty building in lockstep with burden

so yearning grows to draw back the curtain.
