Rumination of misdeeds, regrets so embolden

past perversely bestowed privilege over present

virgin snow sullied before eye beholden

malevolent thoughts conspiring to render obsolescent

Ghosts of past casting shadows long

darkness cloaking theft of future undone

forgiven heart can again sustain song

hourglass spun - another moment has begun.
